Serviced by Hertz/Thrifty/Dollar. Arrival with an international flight (except France): After collecting your luggage and going through Swiss customs, please follow the blue signage "Car Rental". Arrival with a French flight: Disembarkation directly in the French sector (same basis as a domestic flight), exit can be in France or in Switzerland follow the signs on leaving the plane in direction Swiss side. Go through the Swiss customs. We are located at the Terminal 1 on arrival floor and announce with the following blue signage "Car Rental" Important: The rental car pick up and return must be within Switzerland. If you should return your rental car at the French part of the airport, a fee of CHF 230.- applies.

Drivers Age

25 to 99 Years

Young Drivers Age: 19 to 24 Years Charge 19 CHF per Day Maximum 190 CHF Includes 7.7% Tax

Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to rent a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that, if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.

Travel Restrictions

Dollar vehicles cannot be driven into any Middle-East country, nor in Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Egypt, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.

The following vehicle groups cannot be driven into Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia: H, I, N, S.

Dollar vehicles cannot be dropped off outside of Switzerland (a penalty charge of CHF 200 will apply on top of the standard international drop fee).

All Dollar vehicles registered in Switzerland display the “Highway Sticker” (vignette) as required by Swiss law to travel on Swiss motorways. The drivers of foreign vehicles entering Switzerland can buy the highway stickers at the customs, Swiss post offices and some gas stations.

Should these restrictions be ignored the driver will be fully liable for the vehicle - all insurance cover will be invalid.

Assistance Abroad:

Assistance abroad is an optional service covering breakdown assistance outside of Switzerland for Dollar & Thrifty clients. The cost will be CHF 35.00 per rental. If this option is declined and assistance is required outside of Switzerland a breakdown charge of CHF 500.00 will apply.

Geneva Airport:

The rental car pick up and return must be within Switzerland. If you should return your rental car at the French part of the airport, a fee of CHF 230.- applies.
